The exciting and beautiful rail trail extension is well worth the ride.  This new 22km section is an attractive mixture of bush and farmland and undulates up and down as it descends 240m down to Yackandandah from Beechworth.  The surface is hard packed gravel with undulating sections, and some very short ascents near Yackandandah as the trail leaves the original rail line route. 

Yackandandah is a delightful small town, with a selection of gorgeous cafes, pubs and new opened gin distillery where you will enjoy a platter style lunch and a tasting if you desire.

• Collection of you and your bikes and return transfer back to Beecworth
